This sounds horrible considering the deliciousness amount contained in a single hot dog. While the effects of hot dog’s cancer causing agents can be reduced by eating a decent amount of antioxidants, there are still plenty of reasons why you should avoid them.
Another potential risk and a reason is their ability to increase the risk of diabetes, due to the high amount of saturated fats and nitrates. This is all harmful for the healthy function of a human heart.
While this is bad, the good news is that a good intake of calcium will reduce the negative effects of processed meat on your health. But that doesn’t mean that you are safe to eat hot dogs as long as you eat yogurt, but it will definitely help.
